Coming Attraction was written and recorded in the early 80's
a very hard decade for me personally .. my father died suddenly at age 49.
Shook me up to my core ..
my dad had just received the Lord a few months before he died..
thought i would have many years together with him now that he was a Christian ... not so .. he died of a massive heart attack weeks after his conversion .
It's Real & Someday are the two songs I wrote to help me deal with the grief ... "Someday" a song on this record as well was written to comfort my mother's loss more than mine ..it's a much softer song of hope ..
this song, however, was my primal scream in my soul of shock ...
I used to host a Christian music show on Sunday nights at my college radio station back in 1981-1985 and this album was in my collection and a personal favorite. Several songs were requested frequently by listeners. Favorite Song: I loved them all, but Again and Again would be my favorite. jkoonce

This album is all about the human condition and our very human, fallible relationship with the world around us, as well as our ever so tense imperfect relationship with a God who the world has turned into a politicized parody of himself.
"We are madmen and we are children with a lesson to be learned/we are sitting in the ashes of the bridges we have burned/we are hoping and we are praying, we are holding to the claim that he's coming back to meet us between the glory and the flame" sums it up falling_stars
